The 18:22 group was formed by Axinya and Nika Sarycheva in 1999—the year when the younger of them was born. The Tomsk-based duo operates on the basis of clanship and kinship, autonomy and femininity, and has been active since 2018. In their work, the two sisters explore the dichotomy of the internal and external, looking for ties and connections as well as holes and cracks in both. They have participated in several group shows in Siberia, Moscow, and Saint Petersburg.
