Moscow-based artist Sergey Kostromin travelled to the Kamchatka peninsula in Autumn 2015 to experience the untamed wilderness of the Russian Far East. He slept in a tent on black volcanic sand, met surfers on the Pacific shoreline and climbed into volcano craters. From the streets of main city Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsk to mountainous slopes and deserted dirt roads, his video diary captures the melancholic charm and otherworldly nature of Kamchatka.
